Set in; a bohemian area of Brighton occupied by independent retailers, and renowned for it's eclectic nature. The cafe is located on the ground and lower-ground floor of a four storey terrace. There is a large shop-front window, the rest of the windows in the building are sash windows, (with the exception of the toilet windows on the lower ground floor which are steel-casement windows). The street was originally residential, and built in the mid-nineteenth century all the properties are now commercial enterprises. At weekends and on bank holidays,a number of roads in the vicinity are closed to traffic, and shops and stall holders extend trading into the street.
