Beautiful small 14th C. Country Church in unspoilt historic village with a small river and pretty stone bridges. Surrounded by delightful cottages, fields and woods and an old Rectory on the approach. Very light and pleasing interior with pale stone floor with wooden pews on small wheels which can be easily moved to make a large open space offering great flexibility for camera positions. White stone pillars, a medieval font and painted rood screen, bells and a fine organ. Several stone effigies. The acoustics in the church are excellent for music and singing. As well as regular services the church is used as a community space run by an enthusiastic group of villagers who raise funds to support the upkeep of the church and activities for the village. Nearby amenable residents would support film crews. The church is used for many things as in medieval times, dances, markets, parties etc. Steam trains dramatically pass the church about four times a year and the next village has a station for the vintage South Devon Railway. There is a large car park next to the church and a field suitable for a marquee with stunning views over the countryside.
