Built in Ouderkerk a/d lJssel in 1896, our historic 115 year old twin-masted Dutch sailing Clipper has monument status in Holland.During the Second World War she was commandeered by the Germans for intended use as a landing craft to invade Britain.She has recently undergone a complete restoration externally, true to her original appearance, and she is fully re-rigged as a sailing ship.Internal restorations are still ongoing, due to be completed in Autumn 2011.All fixtures and fittings are original marine antiques with provenance.* The grand hold, originally used for carrying cargo, is now an events space with integrated theatre and cinema.* The bow section of the ship is divided into:- family cabins- crew cabins- skipper's cabin- 1st class lounge in the stern.* The deck house/ roof of the ship is a fully equipped professional kitchen.This is a fully functioning ship, capable of movement under sail or by engine. Her home port is London.
