Large site with a significant number of derelict buildings suitable for making films, documentary reconstructions, music videos and hosting groups of photographers for fashion stills.
This site used to accommodate 10,000 people and comprises of low level housing and hospital accommodation. along with support facilities such as doctors surgery, boiler room and gymnasium. The site is now in a state of significant degradation, but offers many opportunities to people wanting to film dramatic exteriors or interiors.
The pictures are presented to show a walk-through of the site, starting at the fire-destroyed mansion (former hospital) and taking you through a large number of the buildings around the site. Buildings are quite different both in terms of size and decoration but share a common theme of being quite derelict.
Throughout this extensive former hospital site, you will find a broad selection of large and small rooms, corridors, and peeling paint/dereliction in abundance.

There are many fantastic opportunities for filming exteriors at this location. The fencing shown to prevent access to the mansion can easily be removed, and there is a large amount of space to the front and rear of that building for crew vehicles and filming. Further secure unit base parking is available (without any services - water, power etc) to support even the largest of productions. Within the general site there is also a long road, some part with road markings, other parts overgrown with weeds etc, which may also be used.
